About Mothers of Military Support

Mothers

"When trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving"

MOMS Creed (Alone I am only “one” but I am not “one” ™)

A mother's secret hope. No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another. When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. We are the guardians of our sons and daughters and we cannot live only for ourselves and silent sorrow isn't much use to anyone. So Let us wipe away one another's tears and be strong in the knowledge that the sacrificial task unto which our sons and daughters have been sent is nothing less than to make the world free.

The MOMS heart pin is a symbol to that sacrifice to be worn proudly and knowing that when you see someone else wearing the pin, never saying a word, it is a sign regardless of differences that we strive shoulder to shoulder, mother to mother, to support our brave son's and daughter’s.

On February 13, 2003, my birthday, an idea hit me. Feeling helpless and missing him terribly, I was frustrated at not knowing how to support them. As I drove down the road the thought of sending 100,000 'Care Packs' hit me like a ton of bricks. These Soldiers have put duty before life. For me, my friends, family and the rest of the United States. With your help, I believe we can give these men and women some comfort of home. They cannot take showers every day as there is not the facilities to do so. The purchase of one 'Comfort Kit' will make a big difference.

Elizabeth Johnston is mother of Marine, Lance Corporal Joseph C. Paul. My son left for Kuwait the middle of January. He had the opportunity to come home for a short stay the end of December. When he arrived, he came to me, laid his head on my chest and we wept quietly as I held the the 6'4 220lbs Marine in my arms. This man will always be my baby. I asked him what, if anything, I could do as I felt helpless in all of this. He said, "Mom, just support all of us."

Mrs. Elizabeth Johnston, President

KEDO Radio Bi-Coastal Media and Military Soup

In 2004, I was approached by the sales manager of Bi-Coastal to have a talk show, as I was not pleased with the direction mainstream media was going, concerning our Military. Bi-Coastal advertisers sponsor the show. It's called Military Soup.
We talk about many different subjects concerning military, veterans and their families, as well as the positive our Military personnel do.

Bi-coastal has always been a positive support not only for our Military and Veterans but of Mothers Of Military Support(M.O.M.S.) In turn, we volunteer our services if they need them, whether it's filling in for the newsroom, weather, or morning show or helping with remotes or promotions. They've given thousands of dollars to M.O.M.S. in advertising and airtime.

Bicoastal Media, LLC's strategic growth plan includes acquiring additional stations in markets ranked 150-250 based on market revenues. Our goal is to be the top biller in every market and to offer diverse formats ranging from Classic Hits, Country and Adult Contemporary to Oldies, News/Talk and SportsRadio.
